I am considering having my son play both Brockport Eagles and Modified football, what should I expect?

A football player, in 7th or 8th grade, may choose to play for both the Brockport Eagles A team and a modified football team. A league rule dictates that the Brockport Eagles are allowed a maximum of 7 modified players (playing both modified football and Brockport Eagles football). If more than seven modified football players register for the Brockport Eagles, the player with the most consecutive seasons of Brockport Eagles experience has priority. In the event that two players have the same amount of Eagles experience, the player with the most modified experience shall be given priority in selection. This rule pertains to modified football only. Other modified sports are not affected by this rule.

The Brockport Eagles begin training on July 30, 2012. Players will practice Monday through Friday from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm. When the new school year begins, Brockport Eagles practice will be limited to Tuesday, Thursday from 5:30 pm until 7:30 pm, and Saturdays from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm. Games are on Sundays in September and October.

Modified football begins practicing when the school year begins. They have practices, or games, Monday - Saturday.

The school day of a player playing both football teams will typically be like this:

7:20 - 2:15 School day

2:15 - 2:45 Sports study hall or Activity hour

3:00 - 5:00 Modified football practice (Monday-Friday)

5:30 - 7:30 Brockport Eagles practice (Tuesday, Thursday)

Saturdays:

Modified practice (times may vary)

10:00 - noon Brockport Eagles practice

Because modified football has practice, or games, six days a week, and the Brockport Eagles have games on Sundays, a boy playing on both teams will have football seven days a week.

Please note: There are only PARTIAL REFUNDS of Brockport Eagles registration fees after May 1, 2012 and NO REFUNDS of Brockport Eagles registration fees after July 29, 2012.
