Volunteer Job Descriptions:

Monitor: Home and Away Games; 2 needed per A, B and C Game-This is one of the required positions at every game by the AYFCL. Monitors must report to Volunteer Coordinator or Vice-President 15 minutes prior to the start of each game. Each football player’s participation is monitored and recorded to ensure that all team members play the minimum play per half each game. You use a tracking sheet and work at the sideline with a parent from the opposing team.

Chain: Home Games; 3 Needed per A, B and C Game-These positions includes down marker, chains, and harsh marker. Using the down markers and chains, these people are on the field keeping track of the down and the field position of the ball during the downs.

Clock Operator: Home Games; 1 Needed per A, B, C Game-This person coordinates the time clock with the officials on the field. This person watches the game closely, watches officials for directions, out of bounds plays, time outs, scores, etc.

Clock Spotter/Score Keeper: Home Games; 1 Needed per A, B, C Game-This person assists the clock handler to coordinate the time clock with the officials on the field. One watches the game closely, watches officials for directions, out of bounds plays, time outs, scores, etc.

Announcer: Home Games; 1 Needed per A, B, C Game-Announces the game from the audio platform.

Announcer Spotter/Music Player: Home Games; 1 Needed per A, B, C Game-Assists the announcer with visual and plays music.

Concessions: Home Games; 3 Needed per A, B and C Game- These positions has duties filling various jobs such as hot food server, packaged food server, cashier, etc. 

Concessions Grill Cook: Home Games; 1 Needed per A, B, C Game-this position has the responsibility of cooking the food on the grill.

50/50: Home Games; 2 Needed per A, B and C Game- Position is for home games and people will work together to sell 50/50 tickets. These people will be expected to sell tickets throughout the first half of the game and then turn in monies and tickets to the Volunteer Coordinator or Vice-President for handling and drawing of a winner at halftime.

Field Maintenance / Supervision: Home Games; 2 Needed per A, B, C Game-Position duties include an inspection of the field for trash, etc and pick up as needed (plastic gloves and garbage bags are available from concession). Duties also includes traveling observation of the field and surrounding areas to make sure the Eagles representatives are made aware of any unsupervised kids that could cause any disorder in the park.

Field Setup: Home Games; 3 Needed in Morning 1 Hour Before First Game (8:30 am if flag is playing, 10:30 am if flag is off)-Position is for home games and these people need to arrive one hour before game time and stay until the first game shift arrives. This position must also help unload food, set-up field equipment, supplies and get ready for the day which also includes making coffee, grill start, begin cooking, fill ice tubs, etc.

Field Tear Down: Home Games; 3 Needed After Last Game-Until Done-Position duties include grill clean up, field clean up (trailer packed and closed, goal pole pads, yard markers, etc.), garbage collection, taking tents down, and putting everything away, and packing vehicles.
